Volunteers working at The Putting Lot

The Putting Lot is an all volunteer-run organization. We are now looking for volunteers to help us work at the lot during the summer.

Volunteers generally work one 4-hour shift per week. It’s the job of volunteers to admit people to the course, provide them with putters and balls, sell snacks, and run events. Perhaps more importantly, it’s also the job of volunteers to speak with people about The Putting Lot project, the neighborhood, and urban sustainability (whatever that means to them).

If you’d like to volunteer, please email info@theputtinglot.org.

Welcome to The Putting Lot: Bringing miniature golf to Bushwick, Brooklyn for the summer of 2009!

The Putting Lot explores the possibilities of vacant lots in the city with an emphasis on community spaces. Our aim is to inspire the imaginations of our visitors and provoke a conversation about neighborhood sustainability.

We invite you to play the nine holes, each designed by a different team of artists or architects, enjoy local Brooklyn-based bites at the snack-shack, participate a variety of activities and events, or just stop by and hang out in the shade.
